This past weekend was Memorial Weekend and since Matt had some time off, we decided to go camping with some friends that had invited us earlier in the week. It was fun to see friends we had not seen in awhile. And fun to see their families and how grown up all their kids are getting. It reminded me of old times, when we use to hang out alot and go camping, before we had kids! We went up for the night and had a nice dinner and some fun around the campfire. I wasn't feeling well, so it made it kinda hard Friday night to have a great time, but I tried to make the best of it. Saturday morning I was feeling better!
It was so fun to see all the kids playing together and having so much fun! Our friend Shane brought all his little toys....BB guns, horses, 4-wheelers, his 4-wheeling buggy! The kids did not want to leave Saturday, when it came time to leave. They felt like they were at a wilderness FAIR! When Shane goes camping, he really goes camping. We did not have to cook a meal because he brought so much food to share! I love camping with the kids.They love exploring and doing stuff we don't get to do everyday!
The kids went to bed easy....Crew just fell asleep in my lap by the fire, which I loved! And Casen asked to go to bed. Corey fell asleep in Matt's lap by the fire! They all slept great! Matt and I didn't. I was sick. He was too hot and stuffy! We were for sure going to need a nap Saturday after camping to get caught up on lost sleep!
Saturday, we woke up had breakfast and let the kids play till about noon. It was nice to feel like we could just hang out and didn't have to get back home for any events. So relaxing! I am so excited for summer and more weekends of camping!
Casen was brave on the horse! Crew would not get on the horse. He loved petting the horse, but he did not want to ride it!
Kids loved the fire....Cade almost too much! We had to keep getting after him....playing in the fire with sticks!
Corey's 4-wheeler was a hit. She was having to give rides to the little ones all night and morning!
