My Kids New Rooms

OK. So I said I would post some pics of my new rooms that I have done for the kids. I still am creating a few canvas pics for the kids rooms, but for the most part they are done.

My 32nd Birthday- UGGHH!

Like I said before in my previous blog......My birthday was on a busy family Saturday. So after soccer games, we did celebrate with breakfast at McDonalds which I love. Then when I got home, the kids and dad went to the mall to find me some gifts. Matt is not too prompt on getting presents. It was really cute. My kids came home with some cute earings they bought with their own money and Matt came home with a gorgeous diamond ring and a gift certificate to the Buckle. It is so funny because Matt is not a jewelry person and it was a total impulse buy. I know I am not a hand and foot model, but I love the ring and I love that HE GAVE IT TO ME. I know Matt hates to spend money, so that means even more to me. My friends and relatives gave me hats, and sandals and more jewelry. I also got some money from Matt's parents that I think I will use to go and visit my parents with new baby Crew! Later that night, Matt and I did not get to go out, so instead we went out Sunday night for some dinner and some time alone.  We don't usually got out on Sundays, but it is so hard to find time on the weekdays. It feels so good to spend some alone time together and to be able to talk without the kids being so loud and interrupting us. Getting older sucks, but it was a special birthday and I milked it for all it was worth. All my friends and family called me too and facebooked me happy birthday wishes. That always means the most to me!

This is an old pic. I just love spending time with him alone!

She does not LOVE ballet, but I love to watch her do it. She is so good at it and I love to see my little girl in a ballet tutu. Sad to see her grow up.

Corey's Weekend

This weekend was kind of a COREY WEEKEND. On Friday, me and my boys went and watched a 30 minute singing production that Corey and the 2nd graders put on for the parents. Of course we did not get their early enough, so I was in the back trying to take pics and video and manage a 4 month old, a 2 year old, and a 6 year old. So I did my best. And Corey was on the front row so I could not see her that good. But  they did great and towards the end it did make me tear up because I cannot believe my little girl is going to be in 3rd grade next year. It is so sad how fast they grow up. She was so nervous the night before and could not fall asleep. She had a special part, along with 15 other kids that she was anxious about. She did great!

Then on Saturday, it was my birthday, but we spent the whole day with the family doing Corey Stuff. She had a 9 AM soccer game. So much for sleeping in. No...there is one thing I love to get up for and that is soccer. I love watching soccer and Corey does really well. So it is fun to watch her. This was her last game, so they took some fun team pics. Afterwards, we decided to go to breakfast for my bday. I did not feel like doing the IHOP thing, so we did McDonalds instead. They have the greatest breakfast! The kids did pretty good. Then we went home and got some chores done and relaxed a little bit, till it was time to go to Corey's dance recital. I also got a few cute presents from my hubby and my kids.

Cheese Head
Drill Seargent- Takes little kid soccer way too serious- Just gets excited and over anxious for them to do well.

Then we went to Corey's dance recital, which was an all night thing, so we did not have time to do birthday stuff for me. We had to be there at 4:45. The performance started at 6:00 PM. Matt brought the other boys and Grandma Nanny met us there too. They stayed for the first half and then Matt took Casen, the 2 year old home. It was a great performance and so fun to watch her dance and how she has improved, but it was 3 hours long. WOW... is all I can say. 3 hours with a 6 year old boy saying "How much longer?" and a newborn wanting to go to bed. So afterwards, we found Corey and her cousins and said our good-byes and Corey cried all the way to the car because I did not buy her flowers. Long story short.....I told her I was not buying her flowers this year, so I bought her a stuffed animal instead and some flip flops. Well her cousins got flowers and so she turned into a drama queen. I cried to myself all the way home in the car because she made me feel like a crappy mom. Sometimes I feel like I try so hard to do everything and it is never good enough. We made up later and she apologized.  So it was a great night. But I still want to celebrate my bday another night with just Matt and I.

Corey's Birthday Party

I let Corey have a little birthday party and invite 5-6 friends from school and dance. We decided to let the kids start out at the Sports Academy Gymnastics High Point having some fun. They had so much fun. They had a coach there letting them have free time and then playing a few fun games with them. They got to do a zipline, this swing, and different trampoline games. They had fun! I was a little nervous because the coach was not a nervous type of guy, but I was....especially with other peoples' kids. So I don't know that I will do that again for a birthday, but the kids loved it. Then we came back to the house for presents, cupcakes and ice cream, and a few games until their parents came. I don't love to give girls alot of free time at a get-together because someone always ends up pouting or fighting over something silly. So it turned out fun. But afterwards I told Matt that birthday parties are alot of work...alot of planning, set-up and clean-up. So I think I like the rule of doing a friend party every other year. I think we might start implementing that. Still can't believe she is 8. Spring is a busy time for us. Cade and Corey's birthdays, Easter, my birthday coming up, and our anniversary. Along with soccer, dance, end of school celebrations and performances, etc. So 2 big things down, and 1 to go....Corey's baptism. YEAH! She is so excited. Alot of her friends have already been baptized and she has got to go to most of them, so I know she is anxious.
