More Random April Happenings

Just a few fun things in April. This was a Monday and it was in the 70's and it was so nice. I was outside, sitting in the sun, reading and the boys were playing. It was the greatest day! And then then rest of the week, it snowed and was cold! WHAT??? Where do we live? The weather in Cache Valley is so frustrating!

The boys playing with Cade's new football net!

This was one of the crappy days here in Cache Valley, where the wind  and weather was so crazy, it flipped our tramp over. It was strapped down on one side and it still flipped!  We had to find a bunch of heavy stuff to weigh it down till Matt got home. Luckily Corey's friend Ty was over and she could help Corey hold the tramp down, while me and Cade and my neighbor Lisa were trying to carry heavy things down to the tramp. Lisa and I tried to carry that wooden log bench and it was rough! So heavy! Funny now that it is over, but stressful at the time!

This was a pic of a neighbors tree that got knocked over. It was scary!

Dad was so busy this month, that I had to take the boys to the beauty school to get their hair cut! Casen was brave and did so good. Crew cried for a few minutes and then he warmed up and was fine! I had to sit by Crew the whole time though!

Corey's Dare Graduation Program. Good for them that they are learning about saying NO TO DRUGS, but the program was the longest 1 hour of my life!

Matt is over the 11 year old scouts with Brother Eric Hooley, and so they decided to have another scout campout in our garage. And lucky they did, cause it was a rainy  mess all weekend! They cooked dinner over on the Hooleys fire pit and then they came and swam in our hot tub, played some games and slept in our garage! It was fun for them! It is funny because the boys are all Corey's age. She did got out with friends that night till about 10. But I did not really think she should go out and play with all the boys on a Campout anyways!  But my other 3 boys were out their playing with the scouts all night and they loved it!

Corey's friend Cody. He is so cute with Cade! Kinda like an older brother kinda thing!

Rainy soccer Saturday. Me and Crew sat in the car and watched Casen play and dad stand on the sidelines. It was so cold and wet and we were not prepared. We thought it was spring. But it felt like winter!
Casen did awesome though. Scored 3 goals.

Corey had a rainy/snowy soccer game too in Hyde Park against the Strikers. It was a crappy game and did not turn out how we would've liked. But they were tough and played in the hard conditions! Soccer players are tough!

Easter Sunday Pics

I love spring colors and so I got my kiddos some cute Easter shirts and Corey a dress! We attempted to take some pics right before church and we got some cute ones. Easter pics always feel so rushed because you are trying to get to church on time, and so the pictures never turn out very cute. But I was pleasantly surprised that these pics turned out pretty cute!
You might even be seeing my family picture again on my Xmas card this year, if I can't get another cute one of my family!

Em hates her pics, but I still want them in my BLOG! I think she looks cute!

Easter Weekend in Logan w/ Aunt Em

Em came up for Easter weekend and it was just going to be our family because Winnan was out of town and everyone else was going to their in-laws for dinner!

But it was a nice weekend. Friday night was Cade's birthday. Then Saturday morning, Cade had a soccer game. Then that afternoon, Em and I took the kids up Logan Canyon, on a hike, to the wind caves. I had not done this hike since Matt and I were first married, so I couldn't remember what it was like. It was a great hike. It was about 2 miles up, 2 miles back!
The older three kids did fine. But I was so glad I had Em because Crew wanted to be carried the whole time and we did not have a backpack to carry him in. So we took turns carrying him. It was rough! Carrying 30 lbs up the mountain was a butt burner and carrying 30 lbs down the mountain was hard on the knees. He walked some, but I guess it was nap time and the trail was a little steep for his little legs. Once we got to the top, it was so pretty, but Crew was stressing me out. It is very slick up there with gravel and I was worried Crew would get running and fall off. But the cave was cool and it was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. There were about 15 groups on the trail. We even met a cute group of boys that I was hoping to hook Em up with, but they were too young!

Grubby Crew was making chocolate covered strawberries with Em and this was the pic we caught of him! EEWWW!

We also headed out to Wellsville Saturday afternoon to check on Grandpa Allan's house and to take Mya on a walk around the Wellsville Lake. It was a nice day!

Saturday night we finally watched FROZEN with EM. She wanted to see it! We could watch that movie 100 times. We love it!

Sunday morning, the kids slept in till about 8:30 and we let them do their Easter Egg Hunt. After they sorted their candy and ate some breakfast, me and Em were in the kitchen cooking for about 2 hours or so before church! We then went to Sacrament Meeting, came home and cooked a little more and then had dinner around 4:00. I can't believe we forgot pics. It was my first Easter cooking alone and I have no pics to prove it. Em really helped me alot too. We had ham, corn flake potatoes, a spinach salad, fruit, rolls and a jello pretzel salad. For dessert, Em made her Oreo balls and I made that oreo pudding dessert. So good. Super FULL! Norm came up and ate with us too! It was a nice and relaxing day!
Afterwards me and Em took a nap, while Norm and Matt watched a movie. I sure was tired after all that cooking and baking and late nights with Em!
