Valentines Day

Valentines Day is all about LOVE. And I love getting little gifts for my kids and dressing them up in Valentines colors. I was actually really shocked because Corey picked out her own outfit and she looked cute. I never would have guessed she would have worn a tutu to school at her age. But I thought she looked adorable. And I love my boys in red!
I think Kids love Valentines too because they want to see what they get from their secret crush. Corey actually got an I LOVE YOU ring from a kid in her class that she has had a crush on. So funny! I remember those days! They always come home with a bunch of cards and candy!

I tried to think of something cute to do for breakfast and so I just cut eggos into heart shapes. Totally last minute, but they looked cute! And then they got to open their little gifts. They each got a stuffed animal, some candy, and a little gift they wanted. Casen got puzzles because he is obsessed with puzzles and Corey got and American girl outfit. And Cade wanted a DS Game. So they were happy and didn't want to go to school because they wanted to play with their new things.

That night, Matt and I were suppose to go to dinner at the Coppermill with Mandy and Regan and Nan was going to watch all of our kids, but of course my kids got sick. My two little ones woke up with bad colds and coughs. I didn't want Mandys kids getting sick because they have a newborn, so we cancelled our plans. I ended up getting the kids pizza and Matt and I picked up chicken and steak from our favrite place MO BETTA STEAKS. After dinner, we got the kids in bed a little earlier and just spent the night together alone. It turned out nice. Relaxing. Plus we are going on a cruise this weekend (FINALLY. IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE WE HAD A VACATION.) So we didn't care about Valentines dinner. We will be getting plenty of nice dinners on the ship. So excited! That was our gift to each other. A NICE VACATION! So hard to leave my kids, but SOOO READY for a KID-FREE VACATION!

Feel bad...must have forgot to get a pic of Cade alone!

Casen has been smiling so weird lately. Sideways smile! Almost looks like he got shocked and his smile tilts sideways now. Happened to Matt's family dog years ago. He got shocked and then his mouth always hung to one side! I gotta work with Case on that smile!
And I just can't get Crew to look at the camera!

A Ski Day @ Beaver

We have not been able to go skiing alot this year because it is an ALL DAY affair and it is hard to find babysitters, plus the kids have school and Saturdays are always really busy! So this last Saturday, we had heard that Beaver had gotten a new 3- man lift on Little Beaver, so Matt was going to take the 2 older kids. But then my sister-in-law offered to watch my other kiddos while I went with them. It was alot of fun!

We did stay on Little Beaver all day because my kids kind of needed the practice. Corey picked it up quick and was back to normal within 1 run. Cade was SO SLOW the first run and I thought "OH great. This is going to be a long day." But on the 2nd run, he really picked it up and was not scared anymore. It turned out to be a fun day for the kids. Me and Matt were a little antsy, wanting to go on the Bigger Lifts and Runs, but it was still fun! Next time, we decided that the kids are both ready to go over and try the harder runs! (Oh sorry, I guess Corey has already been on the bigger runs. She is reading this over my shoulder, as I type.) It was also a nice day...not cold or windy. My kids really love skiing and I need to learn how to ski now. I just snowboard. I have tried it once and it was not too bad! My kids even got so comfortable, we let them ride up together on the lift, but I was nervous for them, the whole way up. But they made it. And we all made it home in one piece.

A Night with the Boys

Friday night, Corey had gone to a friends house and the boys were bored, so we decided to make Breakfast for Dinner. I was trying to make it fun and I am not the most creative person in the world. So this is what I came up with. It was easy to do their initials because all my kids have the same first and last initials. I haven't made crazy pankcakes in awhile. Kind of fun, but always a HUGE MESS. Crew even liked them, but he is my GOOD EATER. He will eat just about anything!

New Pics of My BABY BOYS

My sister-in-law was babysitting my boys I think back in October or November and took these pics of them. I love them! They turned out so cute!

A Few Highlights of our Busy Schedule

This last week we felt like we have had something every single night. So here are a few of our activities that have kept us busy.

Cade is loving basketball. And this week  he had a double header (is that just baseball or can you say that in basketball too?). He had 2 games in a row and he absolutely loves it. I love it too that Cade has the type of personality where he does get a little nervous but within 1 minute it wears off and he doesn't care what people think. I love that about Cade. He is going to enjoy life more not worrying about what others think of him. He does really well and I can tell he has already improved over the season. He just has 1 game left and then he starts soccer here pretty soon!

Terrible pic of Casen, but trying to keep 3 other kids entertained while Cade plays basketball is a little tricky!

Crew is terrible at the games too because he wants to be down and running around but he would get clobbered. So we have to hold him and strap him in the stroller and take him out in the hallway to run around. Basketball games are a little harder to bring a 1 year old to then soccer games are. He is a PAIN IN THE BUTT sometimes!

This last weekend we also went and watched my niece in her first beauty pageant. She looked so adorable and did so good. She sure was brave! Corey loved watching her!

Corey and her cousins also had a dance recital this last week and got to perform a hip hop dance and a jazz dance. They did awesome!

And this last week I took Crew into the doctor for his one year visit and he was 45 % height and 25 % weight and growing just fine. The Dr. told me that Crew was very agile for his age and to watch him because he would be climbing up on stuff. Well the next day he fell off of a little kids table and hit his head on the baseboard and a few days later ran into the corner of our cabinet and got the worst goose egg and bruise on his forehead. This kid is CRAZY and gets hurt all day long! (And this pic does not do the goose egg justice. It was huge. It scared me!)

Celebrating Crew's REAL 1st Bday

My sisters were here visiting Sunday night to Monday. So they got to come to Crew's birthday, which was fun, since none of my family was there. I love when they come to visit. I miss them when they are gone. I wish they lived closer than SLC.

So Monday, we decided to take my little boys to Firehouse pizza for lunch and for a famous Bazooki Cookie. It was super good! We hung out all day and then they had to leave to get back for work in the morning!

Monday

Tuesday Night
Tonight was Crew's Real Birthday. So we wanted to do a little something to celebrate. Daddy wanted us to stay home and celebrate with him. He was watching the Florida polls. So we decided to do some root beer floats, but Crew got too grumpy and decided he wanted to go to bed. He went to bed at 8:00, but then decided he wanted to wake up again at 9:00PM  for ice cream. Kind of a weird night! He definitley likes ice cream better than cake! Love my little boy! Hope he grows up slowly! TIME SLOW DOWN!
