My 13th Wedding Anniversary

Can you believe it has been 13 years? Wow!

I love my husband Matt. He is so good to me and our family. He really loves us and I can feel it. He works so hard for us and he worries about us. He is always thinking about the future for us. And I am so glad he does this for our family because I kind of think in the moment. This really has been a great 13 years so far and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him! He is also such a great Dad. He loves to come to all the kids sporting events and take them camping and on the 4-wheeler and in the hot tub! And he is so good to take the kids for the weekend and let me trip with friends to gain my sanity back!

I love spending time with Matt and can't wait to spend more time alone with him as we get older and our kids get older and can babysit. Love you BABE!

College Roommate Reunion

Amy, Celeste, Sarah, Kim (Tate), Jenn, Steph, Jen (Holding Ambers boy David), Amber

This past Memorial weekend and the weekend of my 13th Wedding Anniversary, Matt agreed to watch the kids, with help from his mom and sister, and let me go to Vegas and spend the weekend with my Ricks College Roommates. My old roommate Kim, lives in Vegas, off the strip about 15 minutes or so. So we all agreed to stay at her house, after she offered of course. That was so nice of her. Her husband John and her was such great hosts!

A few of the girls had to bring their kids, but that was fine! We still had fun! I was free of mine, so it was relaxing for me. But we really did have the best time! We all tried to help with the kids that were there too, to give the mamas some help!

I got to ride down with my ROOM ROOMMATE Sarah and it was a lot of fun catching up. It has been awhile since we have gotten together and we only live 2 hours apart. So we drove down from Utah and got their Friday night. The whole weekend we just shopped, and went out to eat, and talked, and made meals at home, and talked, and talked some more. Kim also has a pool in her backyard so we got to lay out by the pool and eat in her backyard with her awesome lounge chairs and tables. I loved Kim's backyard. We also went to church Sunday and some of us went and exercised the other days. Sarah ran like 20 miles. I got to bike about 10 miles one morning with Celeste. It felt so good. I have not ridden in awhile!

And we also had a baby shower for Steph. She is finally pregnant with her first baby(GIRL) and we are all SO HAPPY for her. We had quite the emotional baby shower. It was so special! And she got some cute gifts!
Sarah and I also had a few emotional talks. It was so fun to get together and see these girls. We only do it about once every 5 years, so it was so nice that Matt agreed to watch the kids. Love ya honey!

Remembering our Grandparents

Every year, since we are the only ones in Logan besides Grandpa Mont, we love to go over to Wellsville and look at the graves and remember all the great memories of our deceased grandparents and relatives. We sure do miss them, but I can't believe how fast the time has past since they were deceased. It is crazy to think about because it felt like they were just here yesterday. We love them and love to leave them beautiful flowers in their remembrance.... Plus cemeteries are so beautiful on Memorial Weekend.

My mom's parents grave, but my grandpa is still living and well!

My parents Uncle and Aunt's grave, but they were like grandparents to us, when we were visiting in Utah. We felt very close to them.

My dad's parents grave. They are both deceased and missed dearly!

More Catch-Up

This is such a busy time of year! Just playing Catch-up!

Corey's Follow Up Relay Run @ SkyView

 Tyler & Corey

So yesterday was the follow up race to the Greenville Mile that Corey ran last week. It was at Sky View High School. They had all the 1st place winner from grades 3-5, both boys and girls run the mile again. There were 6 different races, 3rd grade girls, 3rd grade boys, 4th grade girls, 4th grade boys, 5th grade girls and 5th grade boys. So my little niece Ryley ran the mile against 6-7 other girls her age, 3rd grade, from different schools. She got 2nd place and was kind of sad because she wanted to be first. She still got an awesome time of 6:57 or so. Great runner. In fact, the 1st place winner is on their soccer team. Kaitlin is her name and she goes to North Park. Then 3rd place went to Morgan, who is also on their soccer team and she goes to the Smithfield School. So the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in 3rd grade were all on Corey's soccer team. So proud!

Then the 2nd place and 3rd place runners for grades 3-5 were going to run relay races against the other schools. They had to run a mile total, each kid got to run 1 lap (4 kids in each group). So first of all, let me tell you what happened earlier. I got a message from Corey's teacher, while I was watching Cade's school program that Corey was not feeling well...she had a stomach ache. I know my daughter and I knew that she was nervous for her race. She had time all day to think about it and STEW over it. She is just like Matt. She lets her NERVES get to her. So I took her home with us, an hour early from school, and went and got her a slurpee and let her rest in the car, while I ran a few errands, before the race. So by the time the race was about to start, she found all her friends, stretched a little and she was FINE! I think she gets nervous about the UNKNOWN. She did not know what this relay was all about. I kept telling her it was only a lap and that they would give her all the instructions.

So it was time for the 3rd graders. So it was her and Tyler and then the 2 boys in 3rd grade who finished 2nd and 3rd also, Calvin and Carter. So they had Carter, the 3rd place finisher run the first lap, then Corey was the 2nd leg, her girl friend Tyler was the 3rd leg and then Calvin the 2nd place boy was the last leg. They got 1st in their race, against 6-7 other schools. They did so good. Carter, the little boy that started out first was so fast and gave Corey a great start. So when Corey got the baton and had to run her lap, she was running great! I thought this boy behind her was going to catch her, but she kept her pace and did not let him pass her! And towards the end of her lap, a little 2 year old kid runs onto the track, into Corey's lane and Corey had to dodge him. She did pretty good. At least it didn't effect the race. We were all laughing after about putting OBSTACLES on the course. And we told Corey she should have just HURDLED the little boy. But they did great and finished first. They were so excited!

We stayed for a few more races to see some of our neighbors run. And they all did great! The kids all got little medals to wear and they were all excited. Theses kids sure put a lot of pressure on themselves. A lot of kids were sad or crying after the race! We need to stress to our kids, like I was trying to do to Corey, that this is JUST FOR FUN! Who cares who wins? But we all know that KIDS LOVE TO WIN!

Practicing with Team!

Corey Getting Ready to get the Baton and RUN!

This was when the little boy (in orange) ran out on the track in front of Corey and she had to dodge him and run around him. We kept teasing her afterwards that she should have hurdled him.

Cade's End of Year 1st Grade Program

Cade's End of the Year Program for 1st grade was cute! Cade was grinning so big that it was making me tear up because I kept thinking of my parents and how I wish they lived closer so they could come to stuff like this. He was so cute singing his songs. I even got a few on video. But I did have to bring Casen and Crew and they were kind of naughty. So I had a hard time sitting through all of it. By the end I was sweating and could not wait for it to be over, so I could strap Crew in the car and relax a little. I hate to WISH that Crew would grow up because he is so cute at this stage, but he is a PAIN IN THE BUTT! He is definitely my hardest kid. SO BUSY! I think I need to have him looked at and checked for ADD already. He is a nut case! Won't even sit still long enough to eat. And I feel bad cause he lives in that stroller at school events, soccer games and soon to be all of Cade's baseball games. But I can't keep track of him. He does not care if I am around or following him. He just runs and EXPLORES! I am going to start calling him DIEGO or DORA (the Explorer)!

Can't believe Cade is going to be in 2nd grade. My kids are growing up right in front of me!

Corey's Annual Dance Recital

We did not get very many pictures at the dance recital...we never do because it is dark and hectic trying to get there and get home afterwards. But Corey did awesome. She was in 4 dances this year and the finale....2 hip hop dance, 1 jazz, and 1 ballet. And then she did the finale at the end. She really has a lot of rythmn and loves dancing with her cousins and her friends. I actually got to enjoy it more this year because Corey is getting older and can do her own hair and I decided to leave Casen and Crew at home this year. I made Cade and Matt come for support this year for Corey!

Cade was so cute. During Corey's ballet dance, we were looking for her on the stage, and when he spotted her, he said, "Awww she looks so pretty." It bought a tear to my eye. I thought it was so cute that he said that. And I actually got him saying it on video.

I love watching her dance and I am getting sad as she gets older, because I only have 1 girl. And this will be it! No more dancing after she grows up. But I will  have soccer, which I enjoy watching the most!
I love My CoreyCoos and I am so proud of her! She is a great dancer!

Corey's Soccer Game Against AGGIES

This was Corey's 2nd to last game this Spring with her soccer team HAVOC. They played the Aggies which is actually one of Corey's friends teams and Cade's Coaches team (Mike) . (He coaches 2 teams). But we had a good game. They held out 0-0 at the half and then we beat them 3-0 the 2nd half. It was a great game! Lynley painted purple war paint all over the girls before the game and after the game they got to paint their coaches faces. Brett and Kirk were good sports to let them do that! We got some great pics!

Havoc Cheer....Were Awesome, Were Crazy, Were Havoc....

Corey started playing defense about half way through the year and she is so awesome at defense. They have asked her if they can keep her back there. She kicks way hard for her size. Can't believe it. And with her 2nd cousin Hannah and her back at defense, they are like a wall. No one can get past them. She is very competitive and does not want anyone to score on them. (Kind of funny, we have 2 defenders in our family cause Matt and I played offense growing up.) I have tried to talk to her and tell her it does not matter how many goals you score. It does not measure how good you are. Everyone loves her at defense, but she doesn't get to score as much. But I told her that is OK. In fact, I told her defenders can score, they just have to get back fast to help defend. (So on their last game...don't have any pics, she actually did score as a defender. So proud! She was proud of herself too. It was cute to see her little "proud of herself" strut afterwards.)
