Classic Skating with FAMILY

My sister Steph's family made a quick, last minute trip to Utah, from CA this week, and so we decided to go and meet them one night, down in Sandy at our favorite place...CLASSIC SKATING! My sister Em came too and so did Steph's husband Wright and My sister Becca and her hubby JR. We got there later in the afternoon, so they only had about 1.5 hours to do the water slides before they closed. These white trash looking water slides are the best ever! Just me and Steph and our kids all got in our bathing suits and got wet. My 3 older kids loved the water slides. I had to help Casen in the water when he landed because it is kinda deeper for him. But he did go by  himself on the slides. And I took Crew. He got a little nervous, but loved it every time!

After the water park, we got to go inside and the kids played token games, jumped on the bounce houses, played Lazer Tag and in the Jungle Soft Play. And then the lat 15 minutes, they skated and scootered! It closed at 9:00 PM and so the kids were trying to fit in as much as they could in just a couple of hours. It was a little crowded and crazy inside, so I had to follow Crew around. So I didn't get to talk much with the adults, but it was still fun to see the cousins get together and have fun playing! Crew was kind of a wuss on the bounce houses and the soft play. He had to have Casen and Tristan show him the ropes and even then he got scared! Chicken Mouse!
They had fun. It was a little crowded with Teenagers and a little hectic getting to the cars. We decided to go and eat afterwards because the kids were all hungry and we wanted to visit more. We went to chick-fila, where we did get to visit a little more. But then Crew started freaking out because he thought the Chick Fila COW was there. He is so freaked out by that cow it is SAD! Don't know what it is! And then of course the kids were egging him on and teasing him.

It was fun to spend time with the family! We didn't have as hard of a time saying good-bye because we all get to see each other in a few days for Mike and Angie's wedding. So excited!

Cade in the backround, on his scooter. He was going so fast, I had a hard time catching a pic of him, in Action!

Love my siblings and wish I could see them more!

Fun Day @ LAGOON with THE WILCOCKS

Sometimes with Matt's schedule, our Pioneer Day is very last minute. Very Spontaneous. So I was getting the kids ready for the parade, when Matt asked if we should go to Lagoon. I asked the kids if they would rather go to Lagoon instead of the parade and they were all excited except for Casen. He was really looking forward to all that taffy at the parade. I was laughing! So we got ready and headed to Lagoon....asking any friends if they would like to join us. We got the Wilcocks...Ryan and Marsha and their kids to come and join us for half a day! We do not get to see them much anymore because they live about 2 hours away and we are all so busy with our kids since they are all getting older and busier.

It was a super fun day. We started out on the kiddy rides with the little ones. My two older kiddos are so cute. They were helping Casen and Crew get buckled on all the rides. And they love to see their little brothers get excited about the rides. But after lunch time they were ready for some of the bigger rides. My kids were so brave this time. They went on all the rides. I could not believe it. Even the SAMURAI! They went on Wicked, Collosus, Cliffhanger, and many more! When we met up with Ryan and Marsha, we ended up splitting up and Me and Marsh took the little kids and Matt and Ryan took the older kids. Then later we switched and got to go on a few fun rides ourselves. My favorite is the Jetstar. Fastest ride ever!

The biggest hit of the day for me,  was when we went on Rattlesnake rapids. Oh and did we get wet! The first time down, I got soaked. Me and Crew and Casen got it the worst in our boat. They Ryan offered to take the big kids down again and he got drenched the 2nd time around. We were so wet, but it actually felt good!

We had alot of fun with the Wilcocks. We always do. It was so good to see them and to see our kids get along and hang out. Our kids love Lagoon and want to go back, but I am not so sure! Our summer is almost gone! Don't think we have time!

I did not get very many pics of the kids going on the big rides because I was not with them. Bummer!

A Fun Day @ Bear Lake with Friends

We got to meet a few neighbor friends over at the North Shore in Bear Lake with all their kids. It was a super fun day! Great weather. My kids always love the water. It is so warm and so shallow and they can go out super far and its still not deep! The sand is always a little muddy but they love it and they embrace it. They love getting sandy! Even Crew loved it! He got super sandy too. Trying to get my kids back to the car, somewhat clean is near impossible! We stayed about 4-5 hours and ate lunch there and I got to chat with my friends. It was so relaxing! We even got to stop and get Raspberry Shakes in Bear Lake at La Beaus. The best shakes ever and HUGE! I was trying to eat my shake and drive at the same time. A little tricky. Had to turn my shake over to the kids to finish!

Boys made a HOT TUB!

Crew was so muddy because of the hot tub they made! Sand caked in his hair!

Trying to smile. Such a cheezer!

Didn't get very many pics. Must have been chatting to much and trying to keep track of Crew and keep my kids fully coated with sunblock!

Pamperfest Bike Ride

This past weekend, I got to go on a Friday night down to Ogden and spend the night with a bunch of my neighbor friends. We were staying in Ogden because we had a bike race the next morning that started at Snow Basin. It was a team bike race, that started up Snow Basin Canyon and ended in Midway. We had 3 teams of 4 girls each. So we each got to ride with 2 other girls. There were 8 legs total, so each person got to ride 2 legs. I rode the easier legs because I am not as experienced. I rode legs 4 and 8, which sucked because I had to wait the longest to ride my first leg and I was the last one to ride my 2nd leg. But I did get the legs with the smaller hills and the shorter distance!

First of all, Friday night, only about half the ladies spent the night in Ogden, and the other half met us at the starting line up Snowbasin Canyon Saturday morning. But the ones that went down Friday night, we went and checked out the new shopping center in Farmington. It was super nice. Lots of cool stores. And then we went out for dinner at a place called ROOSTERS in Layton. Super yummy! Then we headed back to the hotel. I think me and Alyson talked till 12:00 that night. We have not seen each other in forever! It was a nice night with the girls and no kiddos!

My team was Julia Robison, Angie Anderson, and Michelle Gibson. We had 3 cars and we all rode with our teams. So we got to follow our riders to the next check point. I only rode 36 miles total. My first leg was about 15 miles and my 2nd leg was 21 miles. Some of the ladies rode up to 45 miles total. I did have to ride my first leg at about noon and my 2nd leg about 5:00 PM, so both of my legs were hot. I got to ride with Allyson and Sandy. I liked my 2nd leg better even though it was longer. It was a hot day. I thought we were all going to melt. Even though I only rode 36 miles, it felt like 75. I think the heat really effected us all! It was a scorcher! It was called the Pamperfest, but we weren't pampered all that much. There was no water or food support and only 2 porta potties at each stop. There were free massages but I had to wait 1.5 hours for it. And my massage was a little awkward. I had a guy do it and he was doing some crazy stretches that made me feel embarrassed. My friends were laughing and taking pics of me! So funny! At the end there was good food. Rumbi salads and these yummy donuts!

It was a super fun weekend...just getting to talk and laugh and get to know the girls better. The car rides really helped us get to know our neighbors and friends. They are so cute and fun and they are all awesome riders. So motivating to me! I need to get better if I want to ride Little Red with them next year!
