Another Swimming Weekend

Friday Swim Day with Friends- "Princess Casen"

So we had another fun weekend while daddy was gone again. He went on a trip to the cabin in Star Valley, biking, with some guy friends. They do it every year about this time, but it just so happened to fall on Pioneer Weekend. So we decided not to sit around, but to make the most of it and have some fun!

Thursday night I took my kids, one of Cade's friends, and Jaice, Reygan and Ryley to the fun park. We had a bunch of free stuff to use. So they played for about 3 hours....they played Laser Tag, roller skated, played in the Fun Zone, played the arcade games, and even bowled one game. They even managed to get 1 piece of pizza in for dinner and some 7-up. I could not get these kids to eat. But they sure had fun! I wished I would've brought my book or a friend. 3 hours is a long time. But they sure had fun and I had Crew to hang out with!

Then Friday we went to the aquatic center with The Bundersons again and I think we stayed for 4 hours...our husbands were gone, so we did not have to be home to make dinner or anything...so we stayed for awhile. Cade is swimming so good now, so that is one less child I have to REALLY WORRY about! He stays with Corey and the bigger kids. It was a nice day! I like going swimming  in the afternoon cause the kids don't get so sunburned. I also found a new face sunscreen I have been using on the kids noses and cheeks and it works wonders. So the reason I have that pic of Casen titled "Princess Casen" is because when we got to the pool he had fallen asleep in the car, which I knew was going to be bad...if you wake him up mid-nap, he is a monster for at least an hour. Crew was wanting to nurse the first hour we were there and Casen was  crying because he was so grumpy. So I ended up over at our towels the first hour, waking Casen up with his umbrella and shade and his Snow Cone. I was so annoyed. But I guess when a kid needs his sleep....he needs his sleep.

Then Saturday morning I took my kids to IHOP for breakfast and they were loving that.  They actually were so well- behaved that morning I got a compliment at the restaraunt. Then later that day, we took the kids swimming again, with the cousins, this time, to the Apartment pool. They loved that and it was neat to see Cade and how well he is doing with swimming. I had to get in with Casen and Crew because Casen was wanting to swim and would not wear a life jacket. Luckily the pool was a perfect temp. We stayed for almost 3 hours and then it was dinnertime, so we stopped at McDonalds, our staple fast food joint and got dinner and some ice cream. My kids sure love hanging out with their cousins!

Saturday night, Matt did get home. And Sunday we went to church. But Monday Matt had to work, so I took my kids to the North Logan Parade by myself..my two older were marching in it with their primary. That was fun to see them. They threw candy out for Casen. Then we went school shopping after the parade and out to lunch and then home for naps!

It was a nice weekend, but I was missing Matt and I was really missing my family. I miss them alot on holidays, especially when I see others with their families.

A Nice Compliment

Matt is out of town again, on a bike trip with friends, and I hate to stay home...so we decided to go to breakfast this morning at IHOP. I was so excited because this grandma walked up to our table and told me I had the most well behaved children she had ever seen at a restaraunt. I was so excited. They were being really good, but it could have just been the day. They are not always like this.. But it made me feel really good.

One of those days where they were not being well-behaved was yesterday at the pool. It was one of those days...where you think to yourself..Why did I come?.. Casen got woke up from his nap and acted like a princess for about an hour...wanted to lay in the shade with a SNOW CONE and just being so whiny. And Crew was wanting to breastfeed all afternoon. And that is not easy to do in a bathing suit in the pool.  But it turned out OK. Casen finally snapped out of it and Crew finally fell asleep.

Cade also ended up being moved up in Swimming lessons this week to a higher class. I was pleasantly surprised.  And so I let him jump off the low dive and the high dive at the pool  yesterday and "What do ya know?" He can swim... HOLY COW! He can swim way better than I thought. So that makes me happy. The other day, at Seven Peaks, Matt let Cade go on this rope swing and he told me he swam about 15 feet to the side of the pool. So I was shocked he could do that. Good thing dad tried that out first and not me. So he is growing up right before my eyes and doing things I did not think he was capable of... Like I did not think he would be able to read by the end of this last year in Kindergarten and he can. So he is developing just fine and I feel bad that I did not have enough confidence in him.

Love my kids! They love to go places like I do and they make my life so happy and complete.

Another Fun Summer Day with my Sisters

Was heading to SLC with my kids again to have some fun at Kangaroo Zoo and so I called my sisters and ended up meeting them. Becca actually had the day off and Em just had an early shift and met us after work. But we let the kids play on the bounce houses and the glow in the dark minature golf for about 3 hours and then we were ready to go to a park and get outside. So we went to Liberty Park in SLC, by my sisters house, and we let the kids ride a few rides, play in the fountains, and play on the playgrounds. My sisters boyfriend JR also met up with us at the park. We stayed there for a couple of hours too. Then we all went out to eat at Rumbi and then we had to say our good-byes. It was a fun day. I really do wish we lived even closer so we could hang out even more. We have been trying to get together once every two weeks or so. It has been fun and gives  us some time to catch up. And they are so helpful with the kids too. I am still learning to juggle 4 kids on outings like this. So I just sweat less when they are around to help. Wish Steph lived closer too, so she could hang out too.

No I am not pregnant in this pic, even thougn I look like I am....

Em got so sick on these swings.... my kids were too scared....they were pretty intense swings...

A Few More Seven Peaks Pics

A Few Fun Summer Days

We have done a few fun things this month...especially the pool and waterparks. We love to take advantage of the sun and water while it is warm.. Winter gets here and we are stuck inside. So we swim alot in the summer. We have been to the Logan pool a few times with friends and we also went to the apartment pool once, after Coreys soccer tournament, to cool off. We also just started swimming lessons with Cade, so we will be at the pool quite a bit the next two weeks. We also just took a Saturday and went to Seven Peaks in Provo, cause Matt was not working and could help with kids. We went with the whole Thompson Family. It was fun. I would love to do it again next  year.

Corey also had a soccer tournament. They did so good...especially for the first time really playing a game together. They lost 0-2  in the semi-finals against a really great Infiniti team. She was so bummed. She cried for an hour afterwards. She wanted to at least make it to the finals. But she really did great. She even scored a goal in  one of the games. They played a total of 4 games....I was so excited to see that she is loving soccer and that she really is great at it.
