Matt's Trip to Ketchikan Alaska- July 2009

So July is actually here or should I say almost over and time for Matt's favorite trip of the year. He went this time with most of the same people, minus a few and he took Regan (his brother-in-law) and his brothers. They really had alot of fun!

They went to Ketchikan again, but stayed in a different cabin. The weather was great, no rain and pretty warm, for Alaska! And they caught just as many fish, but I told Matt not to bring home as much as last year, because we could not eat all of it. He also said there were not as many bears this year. I guess they have had to kill a few or relocate a few because they have been getting into the trash cans up there and then they become trouble. They think they kept seeing the same 2 bears. I do not know how they sleep up there, knowing there are bears lingering around the cabin all night. SCARY! Not my kind of trip!

Matt always comes home tired. He sounds like a zombie everytime I talk to him on the phone because they wake up at like 4 Am and fish, and are out until 10 PM fishing. So that is all they do..... fish, clean fish, eat fish and sleep a few hours. They also had a little boat that came with the cabin they got to take out and use. They said this time, they were actually catching fish from the boat. So he had fun and now we get to hear about it for the next year, while he plans the following years trip. FUN! FUN! FUN!
