Thompson Christmas Party

This year we had the Thompson Family Christmas Party at our house because it was on the 23rd, on a Sunday and we could not book the church. So we cleaned up our garage and everyone just ate out there. Matt puts his BIG heater on out there, so we all stay warm. Cheryl and Winnan plan the whole thing. We just had it at our house. We just did dinner, which is always good,  and then Mandy planned a little tree decorating idea with the kids. They really loved that!
Then we all played the Present Game, which is getting longer and longer every year because our families are growing! But the highlight of the night, was when Santa came and visited with the kids and had a little gift for each of them. So cute! Except that, once again, Crew would not have anything to do with him! He talks BIG, but the minute it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap, he FREAKED! So funny!

So handsome!

Cutest pic ever!

So cute to see how excited the little kids were when Santa was there!

Crew finally warming up to listening to Santa's stories, FROM A DISTANCE!

And Crew's BIG MOMENT!

The party was a success and not too messy!

Pics of Kids- Christmas Sunday

This was the Sunday before Christmas and one of our last church meetings at 9 AM. We were so excited. 11:00 next year BABY! I loved the kids little outfits, we we decided to take some pics. We didn't have time before church, so we took some afterwards and of course I could not get DAD to pose in any of the pics. Matt had to give a little talk in church...a 2 minute talk about the Savior. It was so good. He was so annoyed at the assignment and so nervous and he did so good. He made me cry. I love seeing him like that. It makes me fall in love with him all over again! He got alot of compliments too. He really is a good speaker. He just hates to do it!

As Uncle JR would say...."Your looking FRESH" ...in those little bow ties!

Love this pic of the kids. They were all looking at the Camera. HOLY COW!

Holiday Activities

Just a few fun things we did this holiday season. We were shopping at the Logan Mall and decided to visit Santa. I could only get 2 of my kids to sit on his lap. Corey (9) thinks she is too OLD or thinks she might see a classmate at the mall while sitting on Santa's lap. And Crew(almost 2) would not have anything to do with Santa. He kicked and screamed. So we got Casen (almost 4) and Cade (7) to sit on his lap. They were not missing out on that free candy cane. Cade comes over to me, after sitting on Santa's lap and was very disappointed that Santa's beard was Sandy blonde and that Santa had yellow crooked teeth. I had to tell him that Santa is very busy this time of year and that he has to have helpers fill in for him. Really Logan Mall? You have got to pick a better Santa for next year!

Corey also had her Winter Dance Showcase in December. She was in a jazz number to that song "Have a Good Time" and she also did a hip hop song to a song from that movie Holes. It was super cute! Didn't realize she had a short solo in her hip hop number. Matt did not get to come because he was home with Crew. Crew was sick and Matt was not feeling good either. She did great! Can't wait to see them again in June when they are even more improved!

And lastly, we wrote our letters to Santa one night and put them in our Santa Mailbox that we keep on our porch. This was also the night Crew broke my camera. He did not want to come inside because he was playing with the mailbox and so when I picked him up to bring him inside, he kicked my camera right out of my hand and it landed lens down on the cement. UUGGH! That kid is a PILL!

The kids are getting excited for Christmas!

New Family Pics

Here are a few of our new family pics that we took about 2 weeks ago. My sister-in-law Mandy took them and of course I love them. They always turn out so cute! These are just a few of them. I needed some in time to make my xmas cards, so she just edited a few. But I will post some more, after Xmas, of the rest we took. It was a cold and rainy day, but we managed and Mandy did a good job editing them too. I also have some cute ones she also took of Crew a couple months ago. They were his 20 month pics, suppose to be his 18 month pics, but I procrastinated. They turned out super cute too!

A Few Fun Xmas Things

Since Crew broke my camera a couple weeks ago, I have been in the process of getting a new camera and learning how to work it, so I have not got too many pics. And the ones I have got, were either on my phone or Corey's IPAD. So here are a few fun things we have done this holiday season so far.

Taking Pics by MY grandparents graves and leaving some holidays decorations to honor them!

The 3 older kids making gingerbread houses. (We put Crew to bed. This is not a task for a young one. Last year Casen stuck a candy up his nose and it made for a long night.) Making this little gingerbread village was quite the task. I have found that I do not have as much patience as I get older. I about gave up on these little houses. Corey had to step in. They were falling apart and I was sick of doing them all myself. I threw a little tantrum saying "These are not even my gingerbread houses. Help me out a little." I don't even like gingerbread houses. They are hard. They are messy. We have no where to put them when we are done. And the kids just pick at them for 2 weeks and make a mess. I think next year, we will just stick to the milk carton gingerbread houses I use to do as a kid. Way easier! Do I sound like scrooge? Sorry I am still having flashbacks from that night and they are a PAIN!

This was the finished product and the next morning OUR LITTLE ELF, MR. PEEPS was getting into it!

I took my two older kids to go and see The Christmas Elf Play that they do up at the University. (It is put on by the Pickleville Playhouse) It is their favorite and mine too. It is so funny! One of these years, we will get Matt to go. But Cade sat on Santa's lap and told him what he wanted. Corey is TOO OLD. She gets embarrassed!

Just getting ready for play to start!

Excited to LAUGH!

My Little Stinker

(Pics of the little boys in T-Shirts I bought them, to show to Grandma Christy and Papa.)

I have talked about and posted funny things about my little boy Crew because he is a CRAZY
BABY. But even though he is a CRAZY BABY, he is the cutest baby. He really does get into everything and break a lot of my things, but he is really FUN too. Rocking him to sleep today and kissing his little Alvin Chipmunk Cheeks, I got sad thinking he will grow up soon and not feel like my baby anymore. I will miss having a baby around the house, so I need to cherish these times and cherish him. Here are a few funny pics.

20 month old pics

Disciplining Techniques. We have tried everything and this one seemed to work. This is where he spends time out. It drives him nuts to be tied up, but it sure works for the 2-3 minutes he has to sit there. We also just threaten him with "THE LEASH" and he seems to stop whatever wrong thing he is doing.

Packaging Tape on his diaper....so he won't take it off. This seems to work too because he hates the tape on there! So we just threaten him with "THE TAPE" and he runs away screaming.

My little buddy actually fell asleep on the couch playing the kids Leapster. This never happens, so I thought I better take a pic.

Crew just being silly and goofy!
