Cade is in 3rd grade this year and he got to do a Cache Valley City report and poster. He at first had North Logan, but then his teacher let him trade to Wellsville, since no one else in his class had Wellsville! He was so excited because we have lots of family from Wellsville. In fact, his Great-Grandpa Allan lives there now. And my maiden name is Maughan and my family settled Wellsville.
So we headed over to Wellsville one day and took a bunch of pictures!
Tabernacle
Zial Riggs built Grandpa Allan's home. He was one of the first men who came to Wellsville and helped settle it. It was called Maughan's Fort at first because Peter Maughan was the leader of the first group that settled Wellsville. The name was later changed to Wellsville after Daniel H. Wells, a prominent LDS leader (a counselor to Brigham Young).
