After we took the kids ice skating on Wednesday, we headed over to our Grandma and Grandpa Maughan's old property and farm in Wellsville. I called the lady who owns it and asked her if we could bring our kids to it and show them where we would come on our trips to Utah! She gave us permission but warned us that is had changed alot.
She was right. It was just more beat up and junky. But it brought back so many fun memories. The fish run was gone, the huge pond was drained, the barn had some added framework to it and there were only goats...No cows and horses and kittens, etc. The new owners use it for a sod farm and corn.
The kids loved it. They wanted to buy it and fix it up. If only they knew how much time and money that would really take!

During the summer, they use one of their hills for slip n slide rides called the Redneck water slides. The kids thought these were the coolest. We have been here with friends for ward parties and work parties!

The kids thought this place was pretty cool! We did get our cars pretty muddy trying to get around the farm.
Afterwards we had to get home and help their family get packed. Corey had to leave to dance a half hour before Stephs family left. She was just bawling. She was going to miss her girl cousins the MOST! She sure loved having them around for 3 days, like sisters. She was actually pretty mopy for a few days. She really wants a sister, but it is too late for that. She loves her brothers, but just wants that girl friend/sister to hang with! It was hard to see them go, knowing we will not see them for awhile. Prob not till next summer!
