Layton Strikers Soccer Tournment- CHAMPIONS!!

Corey's Soccer Team had another tournament down in Layton called the Strikers Cup. She was really sad because when we were in CA for Mike's wedding, the week before, her team had a tournament in Park City that she couldn't go to and they got 1st place. She was glad they got 1st place, but she wished she could have been there. So she was so excited to play in this tournament with her team.

The first game they played a team called ENYO and beat them 5-0. Then the next day, they played a team called Wasatch and lost 0-1. They were pretty bummed, but it was such a hard team. It was a premier team and I think the hardest team they have ever played. They had the best passing skills I have ever seen on a team that age. Then the third game they played against the Strikers and won. I think the score was 3-0. So  they made the championship game and had to play the team they lost to.....WASATCH. They were all a little nervous going in because they knew how good they were. Anyways, after a long game and kind of a sloppy game, they won 2-0. They were so excited. They played their little hearts out!

It is so fun to watch there girls play and their cute friendships they are forming. It is fun to get to know the coaches and the parents. Their coaches really are the best and they love these girls and they put all their time into it. Brett and Kirt are the best. And the girls just love them.

They sure loved their medals. They were hugs and heavy and gold. This team is so fun and it is so cool to watch them and how they are improving season to season!

Becca and JR got to come too and watch Corey and her team win! We forgot to get a pic, but I think its so cute when her Aunties and Uncles come and support her! She loves it! We can't wait till JR and Becca have little kids playing soccer or dancing and we get to come and watch them too.

Kirt Sadler, Corey, and her cousins. Their other coach Brett was sick that day! Bummer!!

The girls and my boys wanted to go to the Splash Pad after one of the games. So we brought their bathing suits and let them get cooled off. It was a pretty cool splash pad!
