A Fun Memorial Weekend

We decided we couldn't go too far this weekend with a new baby and it was suppose to rain all weekend, so we did not want to go camping and get rained on. So we decided to do a few fun things close to home. I did get to go on my first bike ride Friday night with a few friends...Alyson and Kelley. It was so fun! We made it up Green Canyon about 3/4 of the way. I had to get back to feed the baby. It had been 3 hours. It was so fun to get out and exercise and I can't wait to go again. Then when I  got home, our friends Marsha and Dan were at our house. They just had a baby 3 weeks ago. It was so good to see them. We are both so busy now, that we don't get to hang out a ton. So it was fun to see them and catch up!

Saturday was Matt and I's 12th anniversary, but of course we did not get to go out because no one was in town to watch our kids. So we will have to take a raincheck on the dinner together sometime this next week. So we just spent the day together as a family running errands, looking at bike stuff, looking at campers, and just doing stuff around the house. Then that night we took the kids to Riverdale, a local swimming pool that is heated by a natural hot spring. Matt took the 3older kids in and I just sat outside the pool with Crew. I did not want that gunky pool water on his baby skin. Plus it was kind of cold. I even had to go inside about half way through the night because it started to rain and got real cold. But Matt swam with the kids and took them down the slides. They loved it because the pool is so warm. We also met our neighbors Alyson and Kyle there too. And we accidentally met some of our old friends there who were camping with their families....Shane & Rochelle Olsen, Jason & Natalie Whittier, and Nate and Kristy Daugs. It was so fun. Then afterwards, our kids were so tired, but we still took them to ice cream with Kyle and Alyson. It was a fun night and they can't wait to go back. And no one came home with any rashes. We always just wonder how they sanitize that pool.

Then Monday, we actually went to Provo. We stopped in Ogden to look at a motorhome...then we stopped  at In- N- Out in Centerville, Utah to eat and then we headed to Provo to look at some campers. We ended up buying a Toy Hauler in Provo. The kids were pretty bummed. They were really wanting that 2000 Motorhome that we test drove. But there were a few things that didn't check out. So we bought the toy hauler from a dealership instead. We are so excited to use it. We get to pick it up next week. Then on the way home, we visited Toph and Brit and also stopped at the Wellsville Cemetary to put some flowers out at my grandparents grave. I knew my parents would appreciate that too. We love them and miss them and Memorial Day is a great day to celebrate them. It was a fun weekend. Sometimes simple weekends with the family are just as fun as huge trips with the family. Right now we just need low-key stuff that is not too stressful with 2 little ones...Casen and Crew. Things can get real complicated, real fast with little kids!
