A Busy Few Days

We have had a busy week... Cade's real birthday was Monday night, so after soccer games got cancelled beecause of the rain, we went to texas Roadhouse for dinner because Cade wanted to sit on the saddle for his 6th birthday. It actually went really well for bringing 4 kids and one of them a newborn. Matt was a little irritated because dinner is never relaxing with kids, but I told him this was about Cade tonight. It was not suppose to be relaxing. Cade loved it. They were having a MOTOTCYCLE GUYS SUPPORT NO CHILD ABUSE DAY, so the kids got to make bandanas and they got tatoos. And of course Cade got to sit on the saddle and they embarrassed him and gave him free ice cream (Matt did not get great photos of the saddle). But Cade loved it and had a good time. Then we went home and opened his presents and had some cupcakes and ice cream. It was a good night. Cade's favorite toy was the scooter he got from Matt and I...that is why the kids are riding their scooters at 9 PM at night, outside.

Tuesday, the kids did not have school for some bus furlough day. So we decided to have Cade's party that day, in the afternoon. It was a hit. We played games, opened presents, ate cake and ice cream, and we actually had a non-rainy day, so we got to take the kids minature golfing. Our back-up plan was a movie in the theatre room. Even though it was 40 Degrees outside, Cade insisted we go minature golfing. The kids loved it and we actually got a little warm in our jackets. It turned out nice, but it always feels good when a party is over.

Then that night Corey had a soccer game...and it was COLD. The other team did not show, so they scrimmaged each other. LAME!

Then Thursday, it was totally raining and snowing and the kids still had soccer games. They both played awesome. Cade scored 3 goals and Corey scored 2. They both game back to the car muddy, but were pleased with the way they played. I watched the games from the car...front row parking. It was too cold for the little kids to be outside. A grandpa of one of the other players complimented Corey and said that "SHE HAD A REAL TALENT." I had to talk her into playing soccer this year. I love to watch soccer and she is so good. Busy week and now it is almost EASTER! WOW! Spring is always crazy for me.
