Christmas Eve

Corey ended up having a sleepover with her cousins, after the Christmas party, so it was just the boys, on the night of the 23rd. They all 3 woke up Christmas Eve morning with markings all over their face. They all thought it was funny! It was even all over Crew's bed. I had to wash his sheets! But we found  markers in  MR. Peeps Hands. Sneaky little guy! He played a funny trick on the boys! The only bad part about it...was that Mr. Peeps used a BLUE Washable Marker, but the GREEN Marker was not washable. So Casen was in trouble. We really had to scrub to get it off and there was still a trace left on his face! But he was a good sport about it. When Corey came home and head the news, she was actually glad she was not home to experience the PRANK!

I cooked food all day for the Christmas Eve dinner at Nan's house, while the kids played and cleaned up the toys from the Christmas party the night before.  And then after I was done baking, Matt took a few of the kids to run a few errands, while I hurry and wrapped the rest of the presents. Crew was sleeping and Corey was playing on her IPAD! That night, we all just met at Nan and Norms house for dinner and a few gifts. The dinner was so good. I always love Christmas Eve dinner. I love getting all dressed up and curling our hair and good food and good company. Toph and Brit were here this year. And so was Mandy and her family and Chad and his family. So we had everyone!

The kids get to open their gifts from one another. It is always fun to watch. My kids were all HAPPY! The adults decided this year to forgo our presents and instead we all spent our money on little kids from the Salvation Army that needed a Christmas. It was very rewarding and a neat experience for my kids! Great Idea Lynley! We ended up buying for a little 9 year old boy. We got him a soccer ball, a skateboard, some shoes and some snow boots. It was a very special experience!

We rushed home about 8:30 that night and the kids put a treat out for Santa and we cleaned up the front room. And then the kids got to open their Christmas PJ's. They always love to get new jammies!

Then it was time to get the kids in bed and for me and Matt to settle down for the night because Santa was only 2 hours away, according to Corey's Santa GPS APP on her IPAD!
