Cade had a great season this year and he had an especially awesome coach. His name was Mike Heap. He is actually the dad to one of Corey's friends. He taught the boys so much. The coach was very diligent in having practice once a week and I think it helped and he was very positive with the boys when he coached them during their games. Their team was called The Patriots. Think the boys came up with that!
Cade was the younger of the kids on the team this year, but he still did pretty good. He plays defense. I could tell the difference in the 1st and 2nd graders and Cade is a 1st grader. The 2nd graders were a little faster and a little more coordinated at dribbling. So it will be really fun to watch him next year because he will be one of the older players and a little more coordinated!
But he still hustled and kept a lot of goals out of the goal. He really enjoyed it because he had his friend Mathew on his team too. They are Besties!
Cade's team was undefeated! They really started passing awesome towards the end of the season and playing great together. As their coach was handing out little trophies he got the boys, he told them that they had scored 65 goals all season and only let 8 get past them. I was impressed!
