We had a very nice Fathers Day with Matt. We bought a bike rack a couple weeks ago and so he wanted that to be his Fathers Day present, but I still took the kids out Saturday and picked out a few cute things that we knew he would like....like car washing stuff and some shorts, etc.
So Sunday we woke up and made daddy crepes for breakfast....his favorite. Then we let him open his presents which the kids were so excited to give him. Then of course we went to church like we try and do every Fathers Day. And then when we got home, I had to finish making the CAFE RIO dinner that I had planned for Matt. Pork Barbacoa salad and burritos. But instead I just made a little more and decided to go over to Mandys house and feed Nan and Norm, our family and Mandys family. It is fun to get together with family....especially if we are eating or celebrating a holiday. And what better day than Fathers Day! I was pleasantly surprised that the dinner turned out. I was nervous making it for other people when I had never made it before. It turned out to be a nice day for Matt.
I love Matt and and I love what a great husband and dad he is. He works so hard to support our family and to allow us to live comfortably and to allow me to stay home with our kids. I can tell how much he loves us. And he really is a great dad. He tries to spend quality time with the kids and to attend all of their sporting events. I really did marry a great man!

A Fun Friday and Saturday in June
We had a fun weekend.....a couple weekends ago....with Corey's baseball game on Friday night and riding 4-wheelers in the backyard and then on Saturday Matt went in a small plane to Park City with one of his high school buddies (which I was freakin out about) while I took the kids to this hidden park by our house in Hyde Park. The kids loved the park. I think we stayed there for like 3 hours. We brought lunch there and ate. Then the kids just played their little hearts out. We even brought scooters and they rode those around for awhile. It was the coolest park. We also saw dad fly overhead in his friends plane. We were so glad he made it back safely. I love days like that where you don't have to be anywhere and you can stay however long you want to at the park. Even I enjoy it....so relaxing!![]()

Weekend Trip to St. George
This past weekend, we headed to St. George with the family. My cousin Jocelyn from Maryland was getting married and having a reception, so we decided to make a family trip out of it. My sisters and parents were suppose to meet us there, but some stuff came up and they were not able to make it. I still wanted to go. I needed to get out. I have not been anywhere since having Crew and I was ready for a vacation. So the car ride there and back was NOT ENJOYABLE, but not too bad. My kids did pretty good.
We stayed in Grandma Nannys new vacation house. The kids loved it and I loved it. Matt had stayed there once before. It was our first time. It was awesome. The kids loved being able to claim a room that they all stayed in.
Friday, we slept in and barely made it to McDonalds breakfast. Then we realized we had a flat tire...Annoying. So we had to spend part of our morning in an auto parts store and Big O Tires. Not fun with 4 kids. Then later that day we went to the fountains downtown and let the kids play in the water. They loved it. I think they were just loving the heat....Well when they could play in the water. It was about 95 degrees and they did whine sometimes when it got hot and they had no water to cool them off. Then later that day we went to the the Washington Pool. The kids love that pool. Casen was a little hesitant because this huge bucket dumps water every few minutes and he was not into that. And in between all these fun activities I think we went to IN-N-Out like 4 times. Bug!!! We did have to make a few other food runs cause you can only have so many hamburgers in a day.
Saturday, we slept in again, ate breakfast at the house, went on a few bike rides around the neighborhood, and finally got ready to go about noon. We went to this really fun park where they have more fountains and an awesome playground. The kids rode bikes for about 15 minutes and then needed cooled off. So they then ran in the fountains and played in the sand for about an hour. I learned something about Casen this trip. He is alot like me. He has to be perfectly comfortable. He tried to ride his little bike with the kids, but he was so hot...that I ended up pushing the baby in the stroller and carrying a bike, about half the hike, cause he needed to be cooled off. So we hurried back to the water fountains and got him in and cooled off. He hated being hot. And a couple times on the trip, he was so cranky and we could not figure out what was wrong. We got him food and then he was fine. The Kid hates to be hot, cold, tired, or hungry...kinda like me. Then later that day...Forgot to take pics, but we let Matt go on a bike ride. We dropped him off at start and then picked him up at the finish. The kids were proud of him. We watched him in the beginning and the end. At the end of the trail, Matt let Corey and Cade get on their bikes and try the easy part of the trail. They loved it, but they came back SO HOT! Kind of a crazy heat down there in St. George. And Casen only lasted 2 minutes in the heat, when the kids were riding their bikes. He then ended up back in the air-conditioned car watching Barney. That Kid was so funny this trip, but also very WHINY! Later that day after we all got showered again, we went shopping for a bit and then headed over to my cousins Reception. It was nice to see the relatives from back east and to catch up with the relatives I had not seen in awhile. My kids were actually pretty restless and naughty at the reception, but they did love the flavored lemonades and the cupcakes. I think the cupcakes were from a little store down the street who makes the best cupcakes. But they were just so hyper...Casen kicked his flip flop up in the air and it landed in my uncles drink on the table and spilled everywhere. And they were fighting and whining and Cade even tipped Matt's chair over and it landed on Casen. And it was Crew's bedtime and he was crying. It sucked. They are usually more well-behaved. It was embarrassing. I think that heat makes them so tired and we had some long days out there. They were bored and ready to go. But it was nice to see Jocelyn and the relatives. We had even planned to do one more bike ride in the cool summer night air with the kids, but we put a stop to that because they were so naughty at the reception. They were bummed. I am bummed we did not get any biking pics. They biked quite a bit, wherever they could.
We had a great trip. I really wish we could have stayed one more day. We did not get everything in that we wanted to, but Matt had to get back to work. Can't wait to go again. It feels good to get away and I love when it is our little family and Matt gets to come too.
