Cade's 8 year old Party

Caderman got to invite a few of his best friends from the neighborhood and from school. He chose Traeg and Mathew from the neighborhood and Stella and Tug from school and Brodyn, a family friend. These are his football buddies, even Stella. (Stellas dad is the Sky View Football Coach). She's the cutest! We picked everybody up and met Matt at the fun park with the rest of the family.

We let the kids play some games for an hour or so. Then we ate pizza and opened up gifts. Then the kids got to play Lazer Tag.They loved that! We then  took the kids home....we had to give cupcakes to the kids on the way home because we ran out of time.... I think the kids all had a good time. I even let Casen bring his friend Riley to play with Crew and him on the Soft Play Zone! It was a pretty easy night and stress free!

After we dropped all the kids off, we went up to our house to meet Nan and Norm and Mandy and her family and Teisha brought Jaice and the twins over too. We just ate and chatted and had some cake and ice cream. Cade got to open a few more presents. And the kids played for a bit. It was a fun night and I think Cade was on cloud 9. He now wants to plan a summer party with his friends and do slip n slide, water guns and football. This is the first year I have really noticed him branching out and making friends and really looking forward to seeing them everyday at school and playing football with them! So cute! His teacher says, "He's a really friendly person and such a peacemaker. He gets along with all the kids and they all like him." That made me feel good as a mom! At least something I am teaching them might be getting through!

Caderman's Real Bday- the 18th

April 18th, a Thursday, was Cade's Real Bday. It was kinda gonna be a crazy day because we had alot going on, so we were going to do the FUN celebration Friday night. But we still did a little celebrating.

We let Cade open up his gifts before school because we could not find a time that we would all be home together until like 9:00 at night, and Cade could not wait that long. So he got to open his gifts in the morning, which I am sure allowed him to have a super good day at school. Later that afternoon, I brought in donuts to his classroom. He loved that too and so did the kids. His teacher is so cute too and so nice about bringing in treats! She is this adorable little grandma. Love her! She doesn't mind messes!

After school, we had to run to the orthodontist for Corey and we stopped on the way home and got some Panda Express for dinner, Cade's favorite. Then Corey had soccer practice and mom had a Futsol/indoor soccer game. I let the 3 older kids come with me because I felt a little guilty playing on Cade's bday, but I had committed to being there. They had fun watching me get my game on! Ha! Ha!

So when we got home, it was already 9:30 PM. We had some cupcakes and ice cream and had to do a little homework and hop in bed. We had a later night than usual, but it was a birthday, so we had to allow some fun! Can't believe Cade is 8.

My Caderman Turns 8

Can't believe it is Caderman's 8th bday today! Such a special age. He will be getting baptized but not until June. It just works better for our family to wait till June!

Cade was my child, that tried to come 9 weeks early when I was pregnant with him. It was super scary! I went into pre-term labor and was dilated to a 4 and actually did not not end up having him! They had to give me some medicine to calm my uterus down. I even had to ride in an ambulance down to Ogden's Mckay Dee Hospital because I was only 31 weeks. The dr's did estimate that he was a good 4.5 lbs already, but that it would be safer if he could stay inside the womb. So luckily I did not have him and I got to return to Logan, but I had to be on bed-rest for the next 8 weeks and it was terrible. But it was so worth it.

Cade was our easiest kid. He slept the best of any of our other kids. He could sleep anywhere and he would sleep forever. He also was just so pleasant. He only cried when he was hungry or needed his diaper changed or he was tired! No extra crying! He ate so good. Grandpa Norm's nickname for Cade was "Lunch." The dr even told me that Cade was an overeater and that when I breastfed him, I had to time it and cut him off because he would not cut himself off. So funny!

Today he is still a great friend and older brother to his little brothers. He loves sports. He loves his friends. He loves to collect football cards. He loves to play soccer, baseball, basketball and football. He is so easy-going. But he is the biggest tease I know and he tries to act like Mr. Innocent all the time. He is very loveable and loves to snuggle.

We love our Caderman and are so excited for his decision to get baptized. Love you Cade!

Greenville's Got Talent

Corey is my only daughter and girls are so much different than boys. This last month has been a little stressful trying to prepare for this talent show. I told myself to enjoy it because I doubt  my boys will be trying out for talent shows. So I am just enjoying the fact that Corey loves to be involved.

So first, I had to help her make up a dance. And let me just tell you....I was not born to be a choreographer. We had to look online for some country moves...etc. etc. etc. Choreographers must be born with that creativeness in their brains because I was not born with any bit of creativeness. We decided to do a country line dance but to some Pitbull music...some more modern music...music the kids might recognize. So that took us a couple days. Then Corey and Reygan had about 2 weeks to learn it. Then they had to find some cute little outfits.

Then we had the stressful day of tryouts...which I was probably more nervous than she was. Corey is so hard on herself, so I wanted her to make the actual SHOW so that I did not have to see her be so hard on herself if she didn't make it....and CRY ABOUT IT! There were about 12-15 acts from the 4th grade. They chose 5 acts from grades 3, 4 and 5. So there was a total of 15 acts that could make it for the actual talent show. The next day, she called me at lunch and told me that her and Reygan had made the talent show. RELIEF! YAH!

So a few days later, after they practiced a few more hours, it was time for the GREENVILLE TALENT SHOW and I was nervous again. The show wasn't until 2 PM in the afternoon, which I was kind of upset about because all these kids in the show were nervous and had to think about it all day! The first thing Corey said to me when I saw her right before the show was "Mom I have had a stomach ache all day." And I didn't tell her, but I had a stomach ache all day too because I was nervous for her. They were the 3rd act in the show and dad even came to watch. They did really good and the kids loved it! There were also some other really cool acts...dancing, singing, a boy gymnast on the bars, a breakdancing robot, some piano pieces, etc.

They usually let the kids vote and tell the winner the next day! But this year, they just had the judges do the voting. And they chose a 1st and 2nd place for each grade. So luckily Corey and Reygan got 2nd place in the 4th grade and it sure made their day! She had Greenville Talent Show adrenaline all day and was in such a good mood. They looked so cute and I was proud. But honestly I am kind of glad its over because it was making me anxious. You just want your kids to do so well!!!

Spring Break- Animal Days in Wellsville

So our family has not been to Animal Days for about 4 years or so because when Cade was about 3 or so we went to animal days and about a week later, Cade came down with Scabies. The Dr. told me it comes from wild animals and that is the only place we had been to with animals. So I have been afraid to go back. It was such a nightmare when Cade got Scabies...had to wash our whole family down with some weird ointment and we had to wash all of Cade's clothes, sheets, towels, etc. Pain in the bootie!

So we decided to try it again this year and we are just praying no one gets scabies! I made the kids wash their hands super good all day and when they got home they had to take off all their clothes, throw them in the laundry and hop in the bath. Can you tell it scarred me last time?

But we had so much fun and I love to see the little ones get so excited about the little animals. It seems like it rains every week on animal week, so when we woke up Saturday morning, it looked like it was going to be a pretty good day, so we hurried and got ready and hopped in the car. Most of the day was great. It did rain for about 30 minutes at one point, but we just ducked in a barn and waited it out. It was such a cool day!

The kids got to hold chicks, ducks, and bunnies. I know Corey loved the bunnies. The kids get bugging me to buy one! We also got to see horses and a cow being milked. We got to see piggies, and lambs too. We actually skipped the bear line because it did not die down all day and the wait was 1 1/2 hours. But the kids got to fish for trout in the Catch n release station. Pretty cool! Cade loved that! Cade and Casen got to go on a fun little pony ride. The kids loved the train. It was Crew's favorite. He was bawling when he had to get off and all the people in line were laughing! We actually hit the train twice. Crew was in heaven. He also liked the wagon ride. He was so excited the horsies were pulling us! And you can't forget the CANDY CANNON. It was cute! It was almost like a community Easter Egg Hunt but better. The kids got quite a bit of candy. I was surprised!

And of course we had some good food...especially the healthy cotton candy! We might have to make this a tradition the next couple of years while my kids are young....and just take the chance of getting Scabies. I won't get too many more years of this cute fun with the little ones!

Waiting for the Train was so hard for Crew...he just wanted to get on! I had to strap him in the stroller for a bit because he was being so impatient! That kid is crazy!

Trying to get Crew to smile is not an easy task. The next three pics shows how GREAT he is at smiling. So funny!

Mom's Selfie....hard to remember to get pics of myself with kids!

The trout fishing. They loved it!

Candy Cannon!

Crew is really not scared in this pic...just trying to smile again!

Cade was just barely making the weight limit on these ponies! Poor ponies! Tried to talk him out of it! But he insisted!
