Fun Fathers Day Weekend

This past weekend was super fun. These pics are just of Crew getting to ride the lawn mower with dad. He loved it. It was cute!

This weekend was super fun though. Matt and I got to spend some time looking at road bikes for me. And we also got to go to the local pool for a few hours on Saturday. We actually talked dad into coming too. It was fun! It was alot easier having two adults there. I usually just take the kids by  myself. It was so cute to see him there relaxing and playing with the kids.

Then Sunday, we made Matt breakfast  for Fathers Day and let him open his presents before church . We just got him some tools and a camping table. Then after church we made him a nice meal and spent the day with him. It turned out to be a relaxing and nice day! I love Matt so much and am so grateful for him. And the kids sure love and appreciate their daddy too!

Swimming Lessons

Cade

I told Corey last year that she was done with Swimming Lessons and that I thought she was a strong enough swimmer, so this year I just had Cade and Casen in swimming lessons. Cade probably has one more year after this but this was Casen's 1st Year!

Cade is getting stronger. It is really fun to see your kids improving, especially in something like this....A LIFE SKILL! He really is quite a fish!

This was Casen's first year and he did so awesome the first two days and them the third day he freaked out. He screamed the whole time and would not even sit by the side of the pool. I would not let him come and sit with me. I made him sit on the concrete the whole 40 minutes. I felt like the meanest mom and it sucked cause I was on spotlight with all the other moms watching me probably thinking I was mean too. (And I am not saying that my kid was the only one crying. There were lots of kids crying, but my kid was screaming bloody murder in an indoor pool. Talk about an echo!) He kept saying he was scared of going on his back and he did not like his teacher. Oh by the way, she was great and so nice!

So he was in a lot of trouble that night. We just kept talking about what a baby he was...and how he was going to have to sleep in the crib again cause he was a baby now. And that he could not go in our hot tub cause he was not a big boy. And I did not buy him a treat that day. So we just talked about it all day. We even took him in our hot tub that night and practiced his back float. So the next day and the rest of the two weeks, he was great. He never cried again and he was such a BIG BOY! He even passed his class. Kids can be so funny like that. He had his mind set that he did not want to swim that day and he didn't.

It was a fun two weeks. We stayed afterwards a few times and swam at the outdoor pool. But it is always a long two weeks. I am always glad when it is over. Crew is also such a pain to babysit there. He just wants to run and he can't!

A Day at the Park/Logan Zoo

Been trying to get some exercise in everday this summer and if I don't get up early, I get to take my kids along with me. So I pushed the stroller with the two little boys in it and Corey and Cade rode their scooters and we did the Riverwalk along the Golf Course. Love that walk. We even stopped for lunges and sit-ups and such. It is fun! The kids love to say that they are Exercising. So cute!

So on the way back, we decided to go to the park and the Logan Zoo. It was so fun to watch Crew for the first time be really interested in the animals. He was so cute. And he loved that he could get out and walk around the whole zoo by himself. Most relaxing zoo I have ever been too.

Becca's Bridal Shower in UTAH

Had a lot of fun in SLC the other night with my sister Becca and my other sister Em. It was my younger sister Becca's Bridal Shower. She is getting married in about 2 weeks or so in San Diego, California and we are so happy for her. We all love her fiance JR.  Em and I helped plan the bridal shower...we made all the food and organized the games. It turned out so pretty. Becca's best friend Richelle and a few other girls did all the decorations and it looked so cute. I was so bummed I forgot to take pics of the decorations. They had it in the Richards backyard, some of JR's really good friends...practically his 2nd family's home. They were great hosts and so friendly. They made us all feel right at home. The food was all really good and the games went really smooth and opening presents was fun too.

It was also really fun meeting all of Becca's friends. And we did learn a lot about JR and Becca in the fun games we played! We also got to meet JR's mom and she was so sweet. She brought a bunch of pictures of JR as a baby to give to Becca. It was sweet! Becca looked so pretty too. So glad that we got to do this for Becca since we won't be at the bridal shower in CA. We love Becca and we love JR and we are so happy for them. It was also so fun to be with Em for part of the day and get to hang out. I really love my sisters and wish we lived closer to each other and were not so busy, so we could hang out more! Love ya Becs!
